Starting Green with Waterless Car Washing

Quezada Mobile Car Wash began its mobile waterless car wash and detail operations in April 2010.We are a new type of mobile car wash service in our area; Des Plaines, IL using Eco-Friendly Waterless products. We are firm believers that the best type of car wash not only cleans a vehicle inside and out, but it also protects the environment.

What make the Waterless products “Eco-Friendly”?
Part of that answer is in the safe ingredients contained within the products we use and the other part is the waterless cleaning concept based on the products…and other products like the ones we use.

The Eco-Friendly Car Care products that we use are water-based. And since they are water-based, that means they can be used on wet or dry surfaces. A lot of the competition out there uses products that are petroleum-based; kerosene based or uses mineral spirits. Now, how can that be “green”?

The Eco-Friendly Waterless products we use contain plant-derived surfactants (coconut), water-soluble polymers, organic solvent (soy-based), preservative, filtered water. It is the “Eco Friendlier” alternative.

The Eco-Friendly Waterless products we use work Great! smell great and are very easy to use. The performance of these products are supreme in the industry, however we would like our customers to be the final judge.

According to The EPA cleaning a vehicle, at home in your driveway, using soap and a water hose, can waste up to 116 gallons of water per car wash. The soil and grunge stuck to an automobile’s exterior surface can be a combination of soils, oils, grease and other horrible compounds. The dirty soap and excess water runoff can contaminate local waterways, neighborhood soils and commercial locations. Most cities require commercial locations to use an oil-water separator to filter the wastewater when cleaning their fleet vehicles on their premise. Automatic car washes use about 40 gallons of water per car wash, wasting immeasurable amounts of energy and require an oil/ water separator. In addition, they have been known to scratch and damage the exterior surface of cars.

The “waterless” cleaning concept is truly “Green”. It maximizes water conservation, protects the local waterways and reduces the strain on our eco-system. We would like to add that the Eco-Friendly Waterless products can be applied virtually anywhere/ anytime; is very easy to use and its performance is outstanding!

How does it work? What is the procedure?
When cleaning a car with our Eco-Friendly Waterless products, we spray the product on a damp microfiber towel and the surface we are cleaning. This dual wet/ soap combination diminish friction. The mild soaps & lubricants; in the waterless product instantly break up the dirt and grime on contact. Then we gently rub in the waterless product with a damp microfiber towel. This microfiber towel absorbs and lifts away the liquefied soils from the surface without scratching the paint. Afterwards we buff the remaining wet residue into a brilliant shine with a second microfiber towel.

The process of cleaning vehicles with Eco-Friendly waterless product is powered by “people”, not a machine, which helps save energy and other natural & man-made resources.
